ENTEROSORBENTS THERAPY IN CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA LIVING IN POOR SANITARY CONDITIONS, 2013

Zaytseva N. , Usitnova O.

SUMMARY: According to recent epidemiological and toxicological data, children living in poor sanitary conditions develop abnormal physical characteristics, such as morphological abnormalities and chronic diseases of the Central Nervous System and the respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, endocrine and digestive Systems. Among the substances of industrial origin, an important role is played by metals that accumulate in the tissues and organs. The toxic effects are due to the type of metal, its concentration, the concurrence of other pathological factors and the general health conditions (immune reactivity, hypersensitivity, etc.). The study was conducted on 236 children suffering from mild asthma (experimental Group) living in areas close to metallurgical plants. The composition of the air – concerning the percentage of manganese, chrome, lead and nickel – was found to have values at the upper limits of standard. The control Group, homogeneous for age, gender and residential area, consisted of 41 children. In order to reduce the blood concentrations of the considered toxic metals, 4 enterosorbents were tested and prescribed for 2 consecutive weeks of therapy: Enterosgel ®, Polysorb™, Polyphepan, and activated charcoal. – Enterosgel ® - blood tests. Decrease from baseline: Mn = 12%; Ni = 64 %; Pb = 20 %; Cr = 56 %. – Polysorb™ - blood tests. Decrease from baseline: Mn = 24%; Ni = 65%; Pb = 20 %; Cr = 66%. – Polyphepan - blood tests. Decrease from baseline: Mn = 0 %; Ni = 51 %; Pb = 12%; Cr = 61 %. – Activated charcoal - blood tests. Decrease from baseline: Mn = 0 %; Ni = 69 %; Pb = 10 %; Cr = 44%. Data reveal that the use of Enterosgel ® and Polysorb™ for 2 consecutive weeks allows to obtain a significant reduction – compared to the controls – of the amount of Cr and Ni (56-66%) and Mn and Pb (12-24%) in the blood of asthmatic children living in poor sanitary conditions.

KEY WORDS: ENTEROSORBENTS, ENTEROSGEL®, MANGANESE, NICKEL, LEAD, CHROME, POLLUTION.

APPLICATION OF THE ENTEROSORBENT ENTEROSGEL IN THE CLINIC OF OCCUPATIONAL DISEASES, 2001

Poteryaeva E.L., Bobrova S.V., Kazeka E.Z.

Conclusion

The clinical observations and studies performed allows one to draw the general conclusion about the efficacy of this enterosorbent. Enterosgel is a pathogenetically proven component for etiotropic and non-specific therapy of chronic occupational intoxication. Use of Enterosgel aids the improvement of functional states of the main barrier and detoxicating organs and systems and correction of the leading pathogenic mechanisms of toxicity from industrial toxins. The results of this study affords grounds for recommendation of Enterosgel for wide application in the clinic of occupational illnesses.

POLYMETHYLSILOXANE SORBENTS IN THE COMPLEX TREATMENT OF ALLERGODERMATOSES, 1996

Poberezhnik O.Yu.

Peculiarities of allergodermatoses of different origin have been studied. Using the obtained results and taking into account clinical the characteristic, complex technique for allergodermatoses treatment with the use of enterosorption and application sorption with new preparations based on polymethyloxane sorbing gels and immobilized on their basis phytopreparations and antibiotics was developed. The new method proved to be highly effective for the treatment of the patients.

Keywords: polymethylsiloxane sorbents, allergic, enterosorption, application sorption, sorbogel, Enterosgel, phytosorbogel, microbial eczema, immobilized Imosgent.

RESULTS OF THE USE OF ENTEROSGEL PREPARATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF THE GIT ORGANS DISEASES IN RELATION WITH DISORDERED FOOD DIGESTION AND ABSORPTION, 1999

Petukhov A.B., Lysikov Yu.A., Shakhovskaya A.K., Maltsev G.Yu., Sokolnikov A.A., Vasiliev A.V.

The present problem’s urgency is known to steam from a practical lacking of any important advances in treatment modalities for as common diseases as pathological conditions of the small intestine with allergic manifestations as well as those due to the gastric and small intestine resections of different length (malabsorption syndrome), colonic pathology with dysbiosis manifestations (irritable bowel syndrome, constipation syndrome). At the same, it should be mentioned that the disponible modalities of selective enterosorption and nutritional correction of impaired homeostasis are not utilized sufficiently enough.

Nagornaya N.V., Dubovaya А.V.

The article describes different types of intoxication, presents a method of intracorporeal detoxification, and includes a classification of gastrointestinal adsorbents (enterosorbents). It summarizes the experience that has been gained with the intestinal adsorbent Enterosgel in the combination therapy of children and adults suffering from allergic diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, burn disease, chronic pyelonephritis, and recurrent non-specific vaginitis.

Keywords: adsorbent, allergy, asthma, atopic dermatitis, detoxification, diarrhea, intoxication, burn disease, endotoxin, enterosorbent, Enterosgel

A CLINICAL AND IMMUNO-ALLERGOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE EFFICACY OF ENTEROSGEL IN FOOD ALLERGY, 2010

Melnykov O.F., Zabrodskaya L.V., Tymchenko M.D., Sydorenko  T.V., Naumova O.A.

CONCLUSIONS
1. The increased total serum IgE concentrations in study subjects demonstrated a reagin-dependent type of food allergy and allowed to classify this condition as a true allergy [6].
2. Apart from the increased IgE concentrations, patients with food allergy had increased circulating immune complexes, IFN-, IL-5, and IL-6 concentrations. No such deviations were observed in healthy controls.
3. Inclusion of the intestinal adsorbent (enterosorbent) Enterosgel in the treatment programme for patients with food allergy significantly improves their allergy status and promotes normalization of the total serum IgE levels, early IFN- and the pro-allergic cytokine IL-5.
4. The reported study demonstrates the value of intestinal adsorption, in particular with Enterosgel, as part of treatment for patients with food allergy manifested by angioedema.
